Gregory Austin Finch (Pepaw), passed away peacefully at his home in Jetersville, VA, on September 20, 2024 at the age of 74, after a short but difficult battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his wife, Linda Flippin, his Mother, Bessie Reynolds (Pop) brothers Gene, Billy and Carroll.
Greg is survived by his children; Odell Flippin (Tabby), Angela Cave, Jerry Smith (Anne Marie) and Brandon Finch, all of Amelia.
His Grandchildren, Dakota and Chance Flippin, Colin Cave, Aubree, Adam, and Kaylynn Finch, Samantha, Tripp, Jack, James and Reilly Smith. He is also survived by his brother, Henry Finch, of Florida, and a special niece, Beth Gross (Richard) and son Rylan of Amelia, VA and many other family and friends that will miss him dearly!
Greg was a retiree of the Hon Co, in Chester, VA, and also Luck Stone. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Along with his wife, Linda, he was the owner operator of Truxillo Store, in Amelia, VA, where they had many loyal customers.
Greg was an avid golfer, and played every chance he could. He loved to hunt and just be outdoors.
A Celebration of Greg's Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on October 1, 2024 at Love Covenant in Amelia, Va. the family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service.
