Harbert C. Williams, age 88, of Amelia, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 14, 2018.  He is survived by his wife Beulah; sons Donald (Linda), Jerry (Charlene), Jimmy (Kelly) Allen (Lee) Williams,  and Kenny Wayne Johnson (Carolyn) all of Amelia; sisters May Cox of Hanover, Evelyn Williams of NC, Shirley Jones of Amelia; his brother Ernest Williams of NC; twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by his daughter Catherine; his parents; Enoch Lester and Ida Blanche Kenny Williams; and siblings Roy Williams, Lucile Russell, Lois Smith, and Mary Williams. Mr. Williams served his country during the Korean War serving with the 82nd Airborne division and was retired from General Binding Corporation of Amelia.   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday October 17 at Salem UMC Church, 11221 Clementown Road in Amelia, with burial in the church cemetery with military honors.   Visiting at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia from 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 16.
