Helen Welch Watkins, 87, of Midlothian died Saturday, September 13, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A Watkins. She is survived by her sons J. Stuart Watkins (Linda) and Daniel (Donna), five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends and relatives Monday September 15, 2008 from 6pm-8pm at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court Street Amelia, VA. Graveside service will be September 16, 2008 at 4pm in Amelia Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to Providence United Methodist Church building fund, 901 S. Providence Rd., Richmond, VA 23236.
