Iola Barlow Utz, age 86, of Amelia, Va. went to be with the Lord on August 8, 2021.  She is preceded in death by her husband; Kenneth and siblings; Francis Barlow (Ethel), Ray Barlow, Lewis Barlow (Verna), Henry Barlow, Dorothy Bullock (Harry), Shirley Minter, and Leona Carter (Robert) and sister-in-law Demple Barlow, and is survived by her sons: Kenneth Lamont Utz of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Ronald Scott Utz (Lori) of Amelia, VA; her brother Anthony E. Barlow (Evelyn) of Ruther Glen, VA; and six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, and sister-in-laws, Betty Ann Barlow and Nancy Barlow and brother-in-law James Minter.  Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday August 12, 2021 at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia, with interment following the Virginia Veterans Cemetery.  Mrs. Utz will lie in state on Wednesday from 1:00-6:00PM at the funeral home
