Irene Cifers Atchison, age 90, of Amelia, Va. went to be with the Lord on May 6, 2021.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Alphus Bernard Atchison and is survived by her sons; Bernard Wayne Atchison of Amelia, Christopher Lee Atchison of Greensboro, N. C., and her daughter, Jayne Duehring (Jim) of Abingdon, Va. and her grand daughter; Jessica Leigh Snow of Goldsboro, N. C.  Funeral services will be held on Monday 1:00 PM at Sandy Creek Baptist Church 25450 E. Saylers Creek Rd in Jetersville with burial to following the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12 noon until service time. Contributions may be made to Sandy Creek Baptist Church in her memory.
