It was with a sad heart the family announces that Dorothy Irene Inman passed from this world on Monday, October 14, 2024. She was preceded in death by her mother Wanda Bailiff Burcham; her father, James Coy Burcham; her husband, John Richard Inman; her daughter, Rhonda Inman Keener; and 5 brothers. She is survived by her son, Ricky Inman (Susan); her daughter, Donna Lewis (Bryan); her daughter, Betty Inman Wyatt; her daughter, Robin Springston (John Ray); 9 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. Granny, as her grandchildren and great grandchildren called her, loved Thanksgiving and having everyone to eat together at her house, where it was always warm and welcoming. She loved doing yard work, taking care of the fish in her goldfish pond, and mowing the lawn. Plus, she was always ready to go fishing during the day and dancing on Saturday nights. The family will always cherish these memories. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 17 at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday October 18 at Salem Methodist Cemetery in Truxillo.
