Jack L. Whittington, 81, of Amelia went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 30. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fountain and Media Golden Whittington, and his wife, Pauline Whittington. He is survived by his step-daughter, Janet Brummitt (Richard), his grandchildren Tabitha Southworth (Hunter), Tina Silva (Randy), Jonathon Brummitt (Ruth), Tracy Murdoch (Chris). Great grandchildren Hunter, Emma, Chris, William, Abigail, Natalie, Jamerson, and Andrew. He is also survived by his brothers, Gil Whittington (Rosemary) and Don Whittington (Jill), nephews Hunter and Jay, and nieces Rose Marie, Angie, and Kelley, and his loving companion, Sandra Austin. Jack was a veteran of the USAF, a retiree of the United Parcel Service, and an active member of Rennie Memorial Presbyterian Church. He was a friend to everyone he met, and will be greatly missed.
