James "Jimmy" Clinton Elder, Jr. 59 of South Chesterfield, VA entered into eternal rest Friday, August 19, 2022. Jimmy was born April 20, 1963. He loved the mountains, hunting and spending time with his 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara L. Browett, stepmother, Lucille H. Elder and stepson Charles D. Peters, Jr. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Tammy of South Chesterfield, VA; father, James C. Elder, Sr. of Amelia, VA; brother Terry Elder(Vickie) of Keysville, VA; sister Brenda McMillion(Melvin) of Drakes Branch, VA; brother Tommy Major(Teresa) of Florida; brother Lewis Major of Victoria, VA; stepbrother Charles E. Hall of Amelia, VA; stepsister Rosa Woodel of Amelia, VA; stepsister Pam Burris(Bobby) of Wytheville, VA; sons Nathan Elder(Jennifer) of Henrico, VA; Nick Elder(Sherri) of Amelia, VA; daughter Shannon Elder(Nate) of Cumberland, VA; stepson Dustin Peters of Dinwiddie, VA; granddaughter Lily Ann Ruthkowski, grandsons Noah Ruffin, Liam Ruffin, Aaron Spain, Isaiah Peters, his best friend Mike Martin; and numerous Aunt's, Uncle's, Nieces, Nephews, cousins and friends. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at his daughter's home on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 11am located at 362 Bonbrook Creek Road, Cumberland, VA 23040.
