James H. Smith, age 95, of Amelia, went to be with the Lord on October 7, 2016.  He is predeceased by his wife of almost 57 years, Anne Budd Smith,  and is survived by his children, James Ronald Smith (Ronnie) and wife  (Doris), Nancy (Steve) Truman, and Jan Smith, grandchildren, Mike, Danny, Mandy, and Keefer.  Visitation is at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St., Amelia from 5:00-8:00 PM, Saturday. October 15, 2016 and where funeral services will be held the next day on Sunday at 3:00 PM with burial in Lakeview Cemetery in Blackstone.  Contributions may be made to either Mt. Hope Baptist Church, American Kidney Fund, American Heart Association or choice of charity.  The Amelia Masonic Lodge #101 will conduct Masonic services Saturday at 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
