Webb,  James Carlin, 98, of Midlothian, Va. departed this life on July 4, 2013.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Esther Marie Reiner Webb and is survived by their children, Thomas Carlin Webb (Linda), Mary Johanna Hulick (Peter) and James Peter Webb (Jo Anne); one brother John Barry Webb (Marie); five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Carlin was one of the greatest generation serving in WWII as a medic in the North African and Southern European theatres.  Remains rest at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home in Amelia with services to be held on Friday 12noon July 12, 2013 at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia, Va.
