Mrs. Jeanette Stone, age 91, passed away on January 16, 2025. Jeanette was born in Texas to Wesley Scott and Clara Scott, and she married Clifford Stone on February 24, 1951 in Witchita Falls, TX. She was preceded in death by Clifford Stone (Husband), Clara Scott (Mother), Wesley Scott (Father), and Wesley Stone (Son). She is survived by her son Ray (Sherri) of Windsor, VA. Public Viewing will be held Thursday, 23rd of January, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanette Stone will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home with Pastor John Hunter officiating. Burial will follow at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia at 02:00 PM in Amelia Court House, Virginia. Jeanette's favorite charity was the Crisis Pregnancy Center. ------------------------ Notable interests, activities, hobbies, or passions: Genealogy, quilting, photography, scrapbooking, vegetable gardening, canning. Memorable moments and achievements: Jeanette was a breast cancer survivor. She volunteered at The Amelia Historical Society and enjoyed dressing up in period costume.
