IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jerry Wayne
Cifers
August 1, 1955 – November 11, 2024
We gather here today to celebrate the life of Jerry Wayne Cifers, a hardworking mechanic with a heart of gold. Throughout his years, Jerry brought joy and laughter to those around him with his easy-going demeanor and knack for fixing just about anything that came his way. Born on August 1, 1955, in Virginia, Jerry served his country proudly in the Army, embodying values of dedication and service that carried through to his civilian life. He leaves behind a legacy of love and loyalty, survived by his beloved children, Amber, Danny, and Robbie, grandchildren Tyler, Avery, Chloe, and Alice, as well as siblings Barbara, Shirley, and Leo. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Leo Cifers and Nancy Payne Gay, and his brother Sam Cifers. Jerry had a passion for anything creative, and visions of designs for things he could accomplish with his hands. A Graveside Service to honor Jerry's memory will be held at Westhampton Memorial and Cremation Park on November 20, 2024, at 2:00 pm. The burial will take place at 10000 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA 23238, where Jerry will find his final resting place, surrounded by loved ones and the quiet solace of nature. Today, we say goodbye to a man whose kindness knew no bounds, whose laughter lit up a room, and whose legacy will continue to inspire us for years to come. Jerry Wayne Cifers may have left this world, but his spirit will live on in the memories of those fortunate enough to have known him.
