Jessie W. Faircloth, Jr. age 71, of Amelia, Va. passed from this life on May 25, 2024.  Jessie is preceded in death by his father, Jessie Sr., his mother Eunice Medlin Faircloth, his brother, Jimmy Faircloth, and his sister Rebecca Faircloth.  He will be remembered as a kind, gentle and friendly person who did what he could to bring joy to our lives.  Jessie worked for the Amelia County Elementary Schools and was a custodian both at the school and at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home and Florist.  Jessie served his community by cleaning the Amelia Rescue Squads vehicles on Sunday morning for many years.  Jessie attended Good Samaritan Catholic Church for over 25 years and supported the activities of the church.  He was also a dear friend of the Hix family where he was referred to as Uncle Jessie.   Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 11, 2024 at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia from 5-7PM with a memorial service beginning at 7PM.  A Mass of Resurrection will be held at the Good Samaritan Catholic Church at 11AM on Wednesday June 12, with interment following in the Amelia Presbyterian Cemetery alongside  the deceased family members.  All friends and family are invited to the Church following the Mass around 1PM for a gathering to celebrate Jessies life.  The church will be providing a meal for all attending.
