Joe Thomas Martin, age 78, of Amelia, passed from this life on August 27, 2019.  He is preceded in death by his parents; Willie and Jennie Woodson Martin and his daughter; Susan Martin, and is survived by his wife; Jewell, children; Sandra Warren of Buckingham, Joe T. Martin Jr., of Midlothian, Bonnie (Al) Harver and Dennis (Mitzi) Llewellyn, both of Amelia, and Monica (William) Knicely of Crewe, his sister; Jeanette Petty of South Carolina, ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.  Joe was a retired Chief Engineer with the Hyatt Hotel chain.   Graveside services will be held at 11AM on Friday August 30, 2019 at Rennie Memorial Cemetery.  Condolences at www.hillsmanhix.com
