John Thomas De Lotto, age 78, of Amelia, passed away on September 10, 2009. A veteran of the Marine Corps who served during the Korean War, his hobbies included bowling, building and flying model planes. He is survived by his wife Marie, son John P. De Lotto and wife Cindy of Amelia; daughter Diane Pezzillo and husband Jim of NM; brother Donald and wife Ann Marie of NJ; sister Doris De Lotto of NJ; grandchildren Derek De Lotto, Danielle Kuhlman and husband Bill, and Jeffrey Boyajian. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 14 from 2-4:00 pm and 7-9:00 pm at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia. A Catholic Mass will be held at Good Samaritan Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 15 at 11:30 am with interment to follow at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery.
