John Joseph Driscoll 74 of Amelia went home to be with our Lord on 11/12/11. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Rose Driscoll, his children John Thomas Driscoll, Sharon Driscoll and husband Kevin LaRue, Kathy Hassell and husband Caleb, Diane Godsey and husband Doug, Patrick Driscoll and Nancy Lane and husband Mark, his grandchildren Kayla and Keith Driscoll, Crystal Hassell, Ryan and Jade Godsey, Dalton and Logan Lane. John had a career in computer programming and retired from VCU. He enjoyed attending Grace Bible Church and has served as their treasurer and most recently as their prayer chain coordinator. He had an incredible sense of humor and a true love for his savior Jesus Christ and for his family. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the Bible Broadcasting Network, Grace Bible Church and the American Heart Association. Visitation services will be Tuesday, November 15 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16 at the funeral home with burial to follow at the Virginia Veteran Cemetery.
