It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John William Harbottle, affectionately known as Jack, who departed from this world on May 26, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on August 23, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio, Jack was a beacon of love, kindness, and unwavering support to all who knew him. Jack was a proud alumnus of John Carroll University, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree, setting the foundation for a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry. For 35 years, he dedicated his professional life to McKesson Corporation, where he was both revered for his work ethic and admired for his compassion towards colleagues. A devoted member of Good Samaritan Catholic Church, Jack exemplified his faith through acts of service and kindness, leaving a lasting impact on his community. He found immeasurable joy in the love of his family, and his greatest treasure was his marriage of 40 years to his beloved wife, Linda Harbottle. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, support, and deep affection. Jack is survived by his cherished wife, Linda; his brothers, Robert and Philip; and a host of relatives and friends who will hold his memory in their hearts forever. He will be remembered not only as a dedicated husband and brother but also as a generous friend whose gentle spirit and nurturing nature touched the lives of everyone he encountered. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Robert Harbottle and Teresina Harbottle A funeral service to celebrate Jack's life will be held at Good Samaritan Catholic Church, on Thursday June 5 at 11:30 a.m., where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and express their love and gratitude for the time they shared. We encourage all who knew Jack to join in remembrance of a truly remarkable man whose legacy will endure in the lives of those he loved. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Good Samaritan Catholic Church in Jack's honor, reflecting his commitment to service and community.
