John Baker Hutchinson, age 83 of Amelia, a devoted husband, loving father, Korean War Veteran, and Bluegrass Promoter, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday July 10, 2014. Surviving are his faithful wife of 60 years, Ferne Osborne Hutchinson, his five children; Brenda Lawson (Calvin), Kenneth "Skeeter" Hutchinson, Mark Hutchinson (Carol Annette), Gary Hutchinson (Kathy Lee), Carroll Hutchinson (Tina); ten grandchildren;J. C.,Christy,Timmy, Josh, Corinne, Delaney, Tessa, Troy, Megan, and Matthew, three great grandchildren;Walker, Colbie, and Logan, and a brother, Charles Smith Hutchinson (Faye). He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Frankie Cave and Blanche Midkiff. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriners in Memory of John Hutchinson, c/o ACCA Temple, 1712 Bellevue Ave., Richmond, VA 23227-3920. A Masonic memorial service will be held at 5pm on Sunday July 13 with visitation to follow from 5:30-8:30 at Amelia Family Campground. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 on Monday, July 14 also at Amelia Family Campground with graveside service to follow at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, VA.
