John Lee Vance, age 84 of Crewe, VA, went to be with the Lord on July 22, 2023.  He was preceded in death by first wife Janice, his parents Orville and Zella Vance, and sisters Chloe Dunnavent and Nancy Lee Vance. He is survived by his wife Donna, children Howard Vance (Tammy) of Staunton, VA, Randy Vance (Vickie) of Chapmanville, WV, and Laura Vance of Richmond, VA; sisters Dorothy Vance of Amelia, Myrtle Burroughs of Blackstone and June Perkins of KS; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday July 27 from 11:00 a.m. until Noon at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon at the funeral home with burial to follow at Salem UMC Cemetery on West Pridesville Rd.
