June Joy Phillips, age 71, of Amelia, passed from this life on May 6, 2014.  She is preceded in death by her sons, Bobby and Randy Louis Phillips and is survived by her sons, Richard of Knoxville, TN., Thomas of Amelia, and John M. of Chesterfield, daughter, Brenda Traylor of Dinwiddie, brothers, John Brittle of Md., and Eugene Johnson of Indiana, twenty grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  Funeral services 8PM Friday at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home16409 Court ST. in Amelia with interment 11AM on Saturday at Mattoax Cemetery.  Visiting at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00-8:00PM prior to the service.
