March 6, 1938 – June 12, 2025
RAYLEY, Junior Edward, 87, of Chesterfield, entered into eternal life June 12, 2025. He was a retired transmission mechanic and loved yard sales and flea markets. He grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western Virginia and moved to Richmond in the 50s. He was the oldest of 4 siblings who survive him: Melba Lambe, Roxie Lawson and Fred Rayley. He was preceded in death by his first-born son, Ronald Rayley and the love of his life, wife Edith Snellings Rayley, with whom is he reunited and rejoicing. Those left to cherish his loving memory are his daughter Carol Ann Harris (Adam), son Frank Rayley (Stacy), Six Grandchildren: Kristin Windom (Nick), Katherine Young (Nate), Katie Pauley (Sam), Allison Creasy (Dustin), Kayla Fitzen (Steve) and Trevor Rayley. Six great grandchildren: Landon, Eliza, Liam, Kallie, Travis and Brayden and many nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be on June 17, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Amelia Church of God, 18501 W. Pridesville Rd., Amelia, VA In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Amelia Church of God or St. Jude's Children's Hospital in his memory.
