Kathleen Ann Baker, age 73 of Amelia, passed away on August 15, 2021.  She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bruce Baker, son William Baker and daughter Dayle Anderson (Hugh), all of Amelia; sisters Betty Lee Padgett of GA, and Janet Marie Creech of Hopewell; brother Richard Irvin Maile (Claudine) of New Baltimore, NY; granddaughter Samantha Louise Baker and great-grandsons Mason Grantham and Liam Baker. She loved to do archaeology and was a member of the American Archeology Society and also studied genealogy and loved puzzles. Funeral service will be held at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia on Thursday August 19, 2021 at 12 noon, with burial to follow at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. till Noon.
