Laura Harmon Woolwine 92, passed away on March 29, 2026 in her home surrounded by her daughter and grandchildren. Born April 20, 1933 in Duval County, Florida. She was the daughter of Hershel and Edith Harmon. Laura was married to Charles Robley Woolwine, Jr. and resided in Amelia Court House, Virginia since 1985. Laura attended Radford University, taught special education and was a substitute teacher. As a member of Bethel United Methodist Church of Jetersville, VA, she enjoyed worship, playing piano and singing hymns.
Survived by her daughter Katherine, granddaughter Stephanie and husband Anthony, grandson Matthew, great-granddaughter Karleigh, great-great granddaughter Kali and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Charles Steven Woolwine and two brothers and two sisters.
Laura will be remembered for the way she lived her life and loving God, her family and her pets.
The family will receive friends from 2-4:00 p.m. on Saturday April 4 at Bethel UMC, 6801 South Genito Road, Jetersville, VA 23083. A graveside service is set for Monday April 6th at 3:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park in Chester.
