Lelia Mae Gills, age 91, of Rice, VA went to be with the Lord on May 26, 2019. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Stanley Gills, and is survived by her son Joseph Watt Gills and his wife Teresa King Gills of Rice; daughters Carolyn Gills Jones and her husband Richard Thorpe Jones III, also of Rice, Violet Lorraine Gills Carter and her husband George William Carter Jr., of Farmville, Virginia Gills Flippin and her husband Troy Franklin Flippin of Rice; her brother Herbert King; grandchildren Carrie Jones Campbell, Rebecca Jones Lonadier, Georgia A. C. Holman, Stephen Christopher Carter, Joseph Thomas Gills, David Preston Gills, Paige Nicole Flippin, Kelly Annette Flippin, and great grandchildren, Lela, Olivia, Laurel, Harley, Violet, Charlie, Troy, Daisy, Hazel, Petra, Aidon, and Channing,  special  nieces, Phyllis King Norris, and Irene King Williamson. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday May 29, 2019 at Sandy Creek Baptist Church, 25450 E.
