Leonard James Smith, age 93 passed from this life on June 11, 2009. Preceded in death by his wife, Ethel, he is survived by his son Billy Smith of Richmond, sister, Louise Boyd of Richmond, grandchildren, Dr. Stephanie Plunkett of Ashland, Patrick Smith of Idaho, and Dr. Melissa Smith of Charlotte, N. C., and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 13, at 11AM at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home in Amelia with burial in Rennie Memorial Cemetery with military honors. Visiting at the funeral home Friday 6:00-8:30PM.
