It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie Ferrell Freeman, a beloved father and dedicated veteran, who departed this life peacefully on December 18, 2024, at the age of 89. Leslie was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Erwin Freeman, and parents George Feeman and Lydia Voncille Freeman. He is survived by his loving daughters, Stacy Freeman and Valerie Whitehead, who carry forward his spirit and values. Leslie's love for his family and country will be cherished and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A graveside service honoring his memory will be held at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Rd., on December 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating Leslie's life and contributions to his country and community. He will be laid to rest with full military honors, reflecting the deep respect and gratitude we hold for his sacrifices.
