Lloyd S. "Steve" Sawyer, age 66, of Jetersville, formerly of Highland Springs, passed from this life on October 15, 2017.  He is survived by his wife; Gloria White Sawyer, his mother, Dreama Lyle, and sister, Una Denise (Ronnie) Marsh both of Boone, N. C., step sister, Linda Ford, step brother, Ricky (Vicky) Lyle, nieces and nephews, Andrea Marsh, Taylor (Celia) Marsh. Stacy Scott, Kelly Mahanes, Trey Lyle, Josh Lyle, and great nephews.  He was predeceased by his father William Frank Sawyer, Sr., brother W. F. Sawyer Jr, stepfather Frederick Lyle, and step sister, Patricia Pike. Steve was a Pilgrim of the Sandston Moose Lodge #1937, and past ML Secretary of ODML. Funeral services will be held on October 19, 2017 at 11AM  at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia, with burial and Pilgrim ceremony at Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery 25450 E. Saylers Creek Rd . Jetersville, VA 23083. Visiting at the funeral home 6-8PM on Wednesday . Members of the Pilgrim Degree will conduct services at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Sandy Creek Baptist Church or your favorite charity.
