Lois Estelle Emerson, age 66, of Amelia, went to be with the Lord on July 9, 2011. She is survived by her husband, Hubert, daughters, Pam Goin of Amelia, Teresa Dawson of Amelia, and Rose King of Victoria, brothers, Samuel Atkins of Amelia, Ray Atkins of Amelia, and Ronnie Atkins of Amelia, and Ricky Atkins of Blackstone, sisters, Linda Procise of Richmond, and Pat Easter of Chile, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services 11AM on Tuesday at Union Baptist Church 22110 Genito Road in Amelia with burial in the church cemetery. Visiting at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia from 6:00-8:00PM on Monday.
