Loretta Blair Allison passed into the hands of God on April 14 ^th .  She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Bertha Lawson Blair.  Born in Wythe County, VA on September 10 ^th , 1933, she was the tenth of eleven children.  She graduated from Ivanhoe High School in 1952.  Deceased sisters are Florence Jones, Gladis Houck, Ellen Kinder, Francis Clark and Alice Gray.  Deceased brothers are Joseph Blair, Charles Blair, Kelly Blair and Donald Blair.  Survivors are Claude Blair and sister in law Ethel Blair, both of Ivanhoe; sister in law Helen Beard of Richmond, granddaughter Carol McCraw of the home and son Charles Allison of Amelia, godson Evan Watkins of Newport News.  Seventeen nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews also survive.  She moved from Wythe County in 1963 to Richmond and was employed by Phillip-Morris from 1965 until retirement in 1996.  Upon retirement she moved to Amelia to be near her sister Alice Gray.  She was a member of Hope Chapel, meeting new friends and making acquaintances. Funeral services 11AM on Friday April 17, at Hope Chapel 9661 Wayside Ave. Amelia, Va.  with burial in Moore's UMC Cemetery in Amelia.  Condolences at www.hillsmanhix.com.
