Lucille H. Elder, age 88 of Amelia, went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2021.  Lucille is preceded in death by her parents; Floyd and Irene Flinn Hastings, and siblings; Bernard Hastings and Frances Smith and is survived by her husband James; children Charlie Buck Hall of Amelia, Rosa Lee Woodel of Amelia, and Pamela Burris of Wytheville, VA; stepsons Terry Elder of Lunenburg and Jimmy Elder of Colonial Heights; sister Doris Webb and brother Franklin Hastings Sr. (Joan), all of Amelia; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Graveside service will be held at 12 Noon on Monday November 8 at Rennie Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Sunday November 7 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia, VA.  Memorial contributions may be made to Rennie Memorial Cemetery Fund, 5701 Flinn Lane, Amelia, VA 23002.
