Lucy Henry Southall Colebaugh of Amelia, Virginia died August 12, 2026. She was born March 8, 1942 of the marriage of Valentine W. Southall and Elizabeth Scott Southall. She graduated from Amelia High School, Saint Mary's Junior College in Raleigh North Carolina, the University of Virginia and Mary Washington College.She was employed by the United States Department of State in the Foreign Service and later as an executive secretary with several law firms in central Virginia and the District of Columbia.

She is survived by her sister, Eliza Southall Johnson and her husband, Dr. Lawrence F. Johnson and her nephew, their son Lawrence F. Johnson, Jr. all of Birmingham, Alabama as well as her brother Valentine W. Southall, Jr. and his wife Lorie Camp Southall and their children, Elizabeth Camp Southall of Charlottesville, Virginia, Rachel Wood Southall of Washington D.C., Catherine Scott Southall of Washington D.C. and Valentine Wood Southall III of Amelia, Virginia.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Memorial gifts, if desired, may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, Post Office Box 468, Amelia Virginia 23002 for the maintenance and restoration of Grub Hill Church.
