Mrs. Lula Brinkley Poore, age 96, of Jetersville, passed from this life on Monday Feb. 23, 2009. She is preceded in death by her husband, Loye C. Poore, and two grandsons, Clayton Poore and Pat Drinkard, and is survived by her son, David of Jetersville, daughters, Doris Drinkard of Powhatan, Evelyn Mayo of Goochland, sister, Myrtle Hoots of Winston Salem, N. C., seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and thirteen great great grandchildren. Funeral services 11AM Thursday at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia with burial in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice, Va. Visiting at the funeral home Wed. 6-8PM.
