Mr. Luther Paul VandeRiet age 95, of Amelia went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2013.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Martin VandeRiet and is survived by his daughter, Myra Dowda (Gary) and  his son, Eddie all of Amelia, his grandson, Dr. Neill Williams of Washington, D. C.  Funeral services Monday 11am at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia with burial in Mattoax Cemetery.  Visiting at the funeral home Sunday 2-4 & 6-8PM.
