Lyle Joseph Shank, age 80, of Amelia, VA died Thursday, August 14, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Mast Shank; four sons, Joseph (Elaine) Shank, Herbert (Nico) Shank, Robert (Rosetta) Shank, and Ronald Shank; one daughter, Julia (James) Lehman; seven grandsons, six granddaughters, all of Amelia, VA, and one sister, Vel Shank, of Salem, Oregon. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home in Amelia, VA on Tuesday, August 19, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 20, at 10:00 A.M. at the Pilgrim Mennonite Church, Amelia, VA.
