Harding, Mabel Lorraine Burcham, 85, of Jetersville, VA, died at home on January 5, 2014. Born in Amelia County on October 7, 1928, her parents were the late William Roy and Dinah Easter Burcham. Lorraine graduated from Amelia High School in 1945 and in 1948 married the love of her life, the late Robert Wallick Harding. During their 60 years of marriage, they worked side-by-side on their farm and raised six children. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Diane Coleman (David), Gwen Moler (Les), Penny Cole (Terry); sons Wallick (Mary Beth), Kevin (Debbie), and Kerry (Renee); 16 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Juan B. Pletcher and Fay B. Gibson, brother William B. Burcham (Barbara), sisters-in-law Barbara H. Oehlbeck and Iva Lou H. Edwards (Chuck), and brother-in-law Glenn H. Harding. Visitation Saturday from 3-6 p.m. at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home. Graveside services Sunday, January 12, at 2 p.m. at Salem Methodist Cemetery, Amelia.
