Malcolm Stewart Anderson, age 84, of Eden, N. C. formerly of Chesapeake, Va. and Amelia, Va., passed from this life on May 25, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Marie Holman Anderson, sons, Stewart (Cheryl) of Burkeville, Va., Gary and Tim , of Chesapeake, Jay Hopkins, Jimmy Hopkins, of Eden, N. C. daughters, Beth Farrenkopf (Ronnie) of Chesapeake, Janis Sanders of Thomasville, N. C. , Donna Hopkins of Eden, N. C., sisters, Kathleen Hawkins of Fla., and Ercelle Morris of Midlothian, nine grandchildren, Joey and Katie Anderson, Justine Hopkins, Blake Hopkins, Cursty Sanders, Shana Sanders, Briana Sanders, Tanner Sanders, and Alan Hopkins, and sister-in-law Rose Anderson, preceded in death by his brothers, Rodney, Kenneth and John and his first wife, Eunice. Mr. Anderson was a retired supervisor from the Norfolk Ford Motor Company and was a Marine Corps Veteran and avid fan of bluegrass music and the Atlanta Braves. Funeral Services will be Saturday May 28, at 1:00 PM at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. Amelia, Va. 23002 with burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting at the funeral home 6:00-8:00PM on Friday.
