----------------- Marie Delotto, a beloved soul who touched the hearts of all who knew her, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2024, in Amelia Court House, VA at the age of 91. Born on November 7, 1932, in New Jersey, to Rosario and Lillian Sorrento, Marie's life was a testament to kindness, compassion, and devotion. Marie will always be remembered for her love of quilting and her dedication to volunteering at Good Samaritan Catholic Church. Her warm smile and gentle spirit endeared her to her many friends and family members. She was preceded in death by her husband John Thomas De Lotto. Marie is survived by her daughter, Diane Pezzillo (Jim) of NM, her son John De Lotto of Amelia, and her sister, Connie Slavik of DE, nephew Jerry Slavik of NJ, along with grandchildren, Derek De Lotto (Valentina) of VA, Jeffrey Boyajian of NM, and Danielle Kuhlman (William) of VA and great-grandchildren Gunnar and Rheinar Kuhlman of VA. A Funeral Service to honor Marie's life will take place at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home at 12:00 pm. A Public Viewing will be held prior to the service at the funeral home at 11:00 am. Marie will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband John at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia at 1:00 pm, surrounded by her beloved family and friends. As we gather to celebrate Marie's life, let us cherish the memories she has left us with and hold dear the moments we were fortunate enough to share with her.
