Flippen

M. Garland "ChucK" Flippen, age 88, of Amelia, passed from this life on Jan. 21, 2014.  He is survived by his wife of sixty six years, Sophia Martin Flippen, daughter, Barbara F. Jones of Chesterfield, sons, Bill Flippen of Athens, Ga., and Kent Flippen of Bowling Green, Va., six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  A celebration of his life will be held at 11AM on Thursday Jan. 23, 2014 at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia with a reception following the service at the funeral home.
