Martha Alice Barnard, age 89, of Amelia, passed away on June 17, 2011. She is survived by her husband William Bill; son Steven Reno Barnard(Barbara); daughter Wanda Marable (Randy); brother T.C. Hill; grandchildren Michael Marable, Angela Marable, Amber Barnard, Dawn Ortiz, Chris Canady, and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. on Sunday June 19 from 6-8:00 p.m. A Church service will be held on Monday June 20 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Little Flock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 6100 Tabernacle Church Lane or Hospice of VA, 202 Clark Street Farmville , VA 23901.
