Martha B. West, age 80, of Amelia, passed from this life on March 31, 2017.   She is preceded in death by her husband, John R. West, Sr. sisters, Barbara Sheehan, Marjorie Poore and brother Troy Blankenship, and is survived by her children, John  R. West, Jr. (Kim), Janet Wright (David), brothers, Terry Blankenship, Ray Blankenship, sisters, Frances Gwaltney, and Lois Yeatts. Her grandchildren; Michael, Daniel, Matthew, and Maryellen and five great grandchildren.  Funeral services 11AM on Monday April 3, 2017 at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia with burial in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery.  Visiting at the funeral home Sunday 6-8PM.
