We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Mary Hale Akers, who peacefully departed from this world on September 4, 2024. Surrounded by her loving family, Mary completed her earthly journey due to natural causes. She was a proud American citizen whom leaves behind a cherished legacy that will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Wilmer "Jack" Earnest Akers, her parents, Claude Swanson Hale and Marie Emily Jayne Hale, and brother, Laddie Hale. She is survived by her devoted son Timothy David Akers (Wanda), and her loving daughter, Amy Akers Maddox (Tom), and brothers Steve Hale (Patricia), David Hale. Her memory will also be carried on by her numerous grandchildren Joshua Maddox (Jordan), David Akers (Katie), Sarah Richardson, Samuel Maddox (Taylor), and Zachary Maddox, and great-grandchildren, Camden Richardson, Peyton Richardson, Michael Richardson, David Akers, Carter Akers, Jack Akers, Sophia Akers, Aria Maddox, Aspen Maddox, Griffin Maddox, Liam Maddox, and Isaac Maddox. Mary's unwavering love and guidance have left an indelible mark on her family, and her spirit will continue to inspire them in the years to come.
In celebration of Mary's life, a Funeral Service will be held at Arbor Baptist Church on September 8, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Prior to the service, a Public Viewing will take place at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home on September 7, 2024, from 6-8:00 pm. Following the funeral, Mary will be laid to rest in Arbor Church Cemetery
Mary Hale Akers will forever be remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. May her soul rest in eternal peace as her legacy lives on through the generations she has touched.
