Mrs. Mary Jane Lester, age 89, of Jetersville, Va., passed from this life on Feb. 20, 2014.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter, and is survived by her son, John Thomas Lester of Chesterfield, daughters, Elizabeth Garrett of Jetersville, Brenda Anis of Richmond, Nancy Skeens of Cumberland, and Charlotte Marshall of Amelia, her brother, James Simmons of N. Chesterfield, and sister, Betty Perry of Richlands, Va., fourteen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.  Funeral services 2PM on Monday Feb. 24, at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home in Amelia with burial in the Amelia Presbyterian Cemetery.  Visiting prior to the service beginning at 12 Noon  at the funeral home.
