Mary Frances Wilkinson Cumbie, age 74, of Amelia, passed away June 30, 2024 peacefully in her home surrounded by her family and loved ones. Frances was a devoted and loving wife of 53 years to her husband Richard Cumbie Sr. She was a caring, kind, gentle, yet firm when needed mother of four children; Richard Jr (Bridget), Jessica Anders (Tim), Alec (Jess), and Heather Ramsey (Brandon), a big sister to her 3 brothers; Bobby Wilkinson (Kathy), Ricky Wilkinson (Gina), and Dale Wilkinson (Donna), and an Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Her 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren were the apples of her eye and filled her with abundant joy, happiness and pride. Frances was born August 29, 1949 and raised in Clarksville VA. Her parents, Claude Edward and Marjorie Cary Wilkinson, preceded her in death. Her life was a true testimony to the Lord and what faith can do and get you through as she endured and persevered through all that came her way. Her faith is an inspiration to her family and loved ones that through Him all things are possible. The family will receive visitors at Amelia Baptist Church on Tuesday July 2, 2024 from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at Amelia Baptist Church on Wednesday July 3, 2024 at 10 am, followed by a graveside service at Rennie Memorial Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the VCU Pauly Heart Center.
