Mavis Weaver Wilson, age 76, of Blackstone, formerly of Amelia died on Oct. 2, 2015.  She is survived by her daughter Angel Wilson Spencer, her brother Alvis Weaver of Chesterfield, her grandchildren, Diamond Marie Spencer, Ranger Timothy DeWayne Spencer, Jr. and Safphyre Maria Spencer and is predeceased by husband Charles "Red" Wilson, her siblings, Kalsey Smith, Jessie Weaver, Elwood " Woody"  Weaver, and Harrison Weaver. Graveside services will be held at 11AM on Thursday Oct. 8, 2015 at Piedmont Baptist Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to offset funeral expenses and maybe mailed to Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home P. O. Box 758 Amelia, Va. 23002.
