Mildred Jean "Mama Jean" Barnard, age 83, of Amelia, Va. passed from this life on Dec. 28, 2015.  She is predeceased by her husband, Edward G. Barnard, Sr. and sons, Edward Jr., and Milton Eugene Barnard and is survived by her son, Larry (Carolyn), daughter, Sandra (Stanley) Wright both of Amelia, sister, Ruby Landis of Ohio,  13 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren and one great great grandaughter. Funeral service 11AM on Wednesday Dec. 30, at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia with burial in Trinity Memorial Gardens Rice, Va.  Visiting at the funeral home Tuesday 6-8PM. Contributions to the Amelia Emergency Squad and Amelia Ruritan Club.
