Mildred Campbell Maxey, age 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 1, 2025. She is survived by her sons Randy (Elaine) Maxey, Gregory (Tammy) Maxey and daughter Amy Maxey; her grandsons Justin Maxey (Jen) and Kevin Maxey (Jami); seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Sidney Maxey. Mildred was a deeply devoted Christian woman who quietly served the Lord throughout her life until the time of her death. For more than 60 years she considered her service as a church secretary her ministry and service as a humble servant to her home church Rennie Memorial Presbyterian Church, Amelia Presbyterian Church, Amelia Baptist Church, and the Amelia Presbyterian cluster of churches. She loved her Lord, her church, and her family. The family will receive family and friends on Saturday May 3 from 6-8:00 p.m., at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia. A funeral service will be held on Sunday May 4th at 2:00 p.m. at Rennie Memorial Presbyterian Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
