Morris Caroll Thigpen, age 88, of Amelia, Va. passed from this life on Feb. 17, 2026 at his home in Amelia. He is preceded in death by his son, Johnny and his parents. Alex and Jessie Outlaw Thigpen. He was born Oct. 16, 1937 in North Carolina having lived in Mt. Olive, N. C. Morris served his country in the late 1950's and was retired as a machine operator with Dupont Chemicals. A service will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday Feb. 25, 2026 at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Road in Amelia, with military honors. Memorial contributions maybe made to St. Judes Children's Hospital in his memory.
