Ned Clifton Strathy, Jr., age 79, of Midlothian, passed from this life on December 4, 2015.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Campbell Strathy and is survived by his son, Mark Strathy of Powhatan, his daughters, Darleen Strathy of Midlothian, and Amy Strathy Stell of Colonial Heights, his brother, Raymond Strathy of Richmond, sisters, Rachel Brackett and Mary Texeira both of Richmond, and Carol Tarpley of Petersburg, and six grandchildren.  Ned was a retired lineman with Virginia Power and was an Air Force Veteran during the Vietnam era. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Monday December 7, 2015 at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court Street in Amelia, Va. with burial following the Virginia Veterans Cemetery with military honors.
