Paul Andrew Yates, 56, formerly of Skinquarter Rd. in Moseley, went to be with the Lord on September 29, 2010. Predeceased by parents Eugenie Yates Combs and Francis B. Yates Sr.; siblings John Yates, Ralph Yates, Priscilla Yates Browder, Sandra Sheffield. He is survived by Buck and Nancy Yates of Chesterfield, Eugenie Lesso of Johnson City, NY, Eddie Yates of Richmond, Virginia and Mike Hrbienski of Richmond, Eva and Jr Stearns of Victoria, Catherine Lyons of CO, Ginny VanOrman of Chesterfield, and numerous nephews and nieces. Paul was a lifetime member of Skinquarter Baptist Church. He was a professional welder and mechanic. Paul enjoyed fishing, photography, yard-saleing and kayaking. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 1 from 6-8:30 p.m. at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia. A church service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday October 2 at Skinquarter Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Skinquarter Baptist Church, Moseley, VA.
