Pauline Ruth Whittington, age 80, of Mechanicsville, VA., passed from this life on May 12, 2017.  She is survived by her husband Jack L., her daughter, Janet Brummitt of Highland Springs, sisters, Juanita Wilson, Betty Gallimore, Linda Durham, and brothers, Richard Thompson, all of Pulaski, Bob Thompson of Christiansburg, Junior Thompson of Wytheville, and Gary Thompson of Richmond, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  Funeral services Monday 2PM at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia with burial following in Rennie Memorial Cemetery.  Visiting one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
